Dan Dakich is joined by four time team champion TBT (The Basketball Tournament) player D.J. Kennedy to discuss why his team is so successful, the growth of the TBT, what they go through to win the title, and more.

On what makes his team so successful:

"I think it is chemistry. We have a lot of guys that like playing with each other, smart, high IQ, know how to play the game. We know what the goal is. There is no one looking for individual achievements. Everyone buys in to the ultimate goal, which is to win that $2 million and I think that is what has been our key."

On if he saw the explosion of TBT coming:

"No, I didn't see this coming but the first year I joined, I didn't realize how special it was or how big. I think a lot of people at the beginning weren't really sure about the money. Do you really win a million dollars? How does it work? Just being able to win it and see how TBT is handling things and how organized it actually is being a million dollar tournament. I knew that it would get the exposure that it needed just knowing that it would grow and people would keep seeing it every year. The fact that we were having success made guys really want to bring better talent here and you can see that every year it is just progressing."
On the training they go through before playing:

"The crazy thing about the whole thing, is that we don't really ever practice. The first three years, we just went out there and played. We just had the chemistry and just played to win. I see a lot of teams in training camps or training for months and we actually never practice. We have been overseas for so long that it is like guys aren't trying to waste a week for practicing. When you come from overseas you are tired and you don't have too much time to yourself. If anything, we will do like a one day just to meet everyone but we haven't really practiced in previous years at all."
