“What did you use to stay ready when your number was called?”

It is a level of training that the goalkeepers do. And we go through this in practice, we all have a level of training so that the work is lighter. However, when do the real practice it is 100%. I think that is how you stay ready.”

“It is rare when a goalkeeper has to come in mid-game, how do you prepare for that?”

“You never want to see someone on the team get hurt, but when it comes up you have to remember what your job is. Your mind immediately goes to what do we need to accomplish within the game. You have to move on from the injury and stay in the game.”

“What went wrong in those losses?”

“I think a lot of the traveling has a toll on people. No one realizes how much strain that has on the players. We were playing decent football, but at the end of the day, we weren’t playing strong as a unit. We just say we have to do what we have to do so that we could get home and rest.”
