Legendary play-by-play announcer Brent Musburger is now calling games in The Entertainment Capital of the World for the Las Vegas Raiders.

At 81-years-young, Musburger is enjoying life on The Strip and has been broadcasting Raiders games since 2018. He will have the call on Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts make their first venture out to Sin City.

The longtime ESPN voice was nice enough to take some time out out of his day and call into The Dan Dakich Show on Friday. He told DD that the Raiders can be a very different team week-to-week.

“(The skill level of the Raiders) depends on what day of the week you’re asking me,” Musburger said. “It’s hard to get a grip on them. That led to the debacle in Atlanta, but they keep on pushing and that led to the miracle at the Meadowlands. The Colts overall are a better team, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to have an easy time. I think both teams realize the importance of this one when it comes to the playoffs.”

Musburger isn’t kidding about the playoff race. It’s neck-and-neck.

The Colts sit at 8-4 tied with Miami in the AFC total standings. Las Vegas and Baltimore are breathing right down the Blue and White’s neck both with a 7-5 record.

As he prepares to call this game, Musburger pointed out one Colt in particular that he has his eyes on. He said he’s been very impressed with DeForest Buckner (and who hasn’t really).

“Can you keep Buckner back in Indy with you,” Musburger questioned jokingly. “Can you do that for me? I mean woah. I don’t know how we’re going to block that guy I’ll tell you.”

Star running back Josh Jacobs is also questionable heading into Sunday for Vegas. If he can’t play, that can mean an even more successful night for Buckner and the Colts front four.

Kickoff from the monstrous Allegiant Stadium is set for 4:05 PM.
