Hallelujah, the Indianapolis Colts finally have a left tackle.

It’s about time right? Eric Fisher, the former number one overall pick of the Kansas City Chiefs, is heading to the 317.

As reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, a one year, 9.4 million dollar contract will ink Fisher with the Blue and White.

Sam Tevi was never the guy. Julién Davenport was never the guy. And Chaz Green was never the guy.

Sure, it’s nice to have depth. (As we saw last season or lack thereof).

Chris Ballard needed to make this move. We told you on The Dan Dakich Show that this was a real possibility. And here he is baby.

But here’s the question(s).

  1. What is the status of Fisher’s achilles injury?
  2. Does having a solidified left tackle protecting Carson Wentz put the Colts right up with the big boys in the AFC?

Per multiple reports, it looks like Fisher will be good to go by around the end of training camp.

Indianapolis was also a few plays away from beating the Buffalo Bills at their place in January. Left tackle wasn’t even the problem either. Jared Veldheer did a nice job.

Would that have been the case if the Colts made the AFC Title Game and played KC? We’ll never know.

But as DD said Monday, this continues to look more and more like a Super Bowl roster as time continues to pass.
