Listen Live

It was a very special Monday afternoon on The Dan Dakich Show.

Live from the “Tee Off For Tyler Charity Golf Classic” at The Bridgewater Club in Carmel, DD broadcasted live with some laughs, smiles, and a whole lot of remembrance for Tyler Trent.

Tyler’s parents Kelly and Tony Trent hopped on the program to discuss Tyler’s fight with cancer and never give up attitude; And so did his head coach.

Jeff Brohm is set to lead the Purdue Boilermakers into battle for the 2021 season. And with a 12-team College Football Playoff looming in the next few years, now is the time to set the tone for the future.

Of course, DD and Brohm dove into just how big of a fan, supporter, coach, and fighter that Tyler was. Trent was even able to predict a win that Brohm could not.

Who could forget the Ohio State classic back in 2018?

Trent always believed it could happen. And it did. The “Is this or is this not the XFL?” coach was never so happy to be astonished.

But as the Boilers jump into this year, what lies ahead Coach Brohm?

“I think the strength of our team right now is that we’re hungry and we work extremely hard,” Brohm said. “Right now we have some good leadership from some guys that have played quite a bit. We know the schedule that is ahead of us, and you have to beat great teams each and every week. We have to be aggressive.”

Seriously, how could you not want to run through a brick wall for this guy?

Impossible not to.
