News broke Tuesday afternoon that Colts quarterback Carson Wentz has been placed on the team’s Reserve/Covid-19 List, potentially putting his status for Sunday vs the Raiders in jeopardy.

Under current NFL/NFLPA Covid-19 protocols, as an unvaccinated player Wentz would be out for 10 days and would miss Sunday’s game against Oakland.

However, following yesterday’s updated guidelines from the CDC, the league is reportedly getting close to modifying its protocols in a way that reflects the CDC’s changes.

The key portion of Adam Schefter’s tweet is “all players” would see quarantine time drop from 10 days to five days, meaning an unvaccinated player like Wentz have a chance to play on Sunday.

As all of this was unfolding, but before Schefter’s tweet above, The Dean Mike Chappell of Fox 59 and CBS 4 joined the program to share his thoughts on Wentz ending up in Covid protocols and how it impacts Indianapolis.

Additionally, Chappy and Dan discussed potential options for the Colts should Wentz miss Sunday’s game and the team want more choices than Sam Ehlinger.

Check out Dan’s conversation with The Dean Mike Chappell below and remember that this is a very fluid situation so be sure to stay tuned to 107.5 The Fan, and sources around the NFL, as potential changes to Covid-19 protocol may occur and Wentz’s status for Sunday will become clearer as a result.
