The Indianapolis Colts are developing a three-headed monster at the running back position.

Nyheim Hines, Jonathan Taylor, and Jordan Wilkins have adopted the “Run The Damn Ball” mentality and have impressed Frank Reich in doing so. Reich said in his Monday press conference that he feels like they have three starters in the back field. He also “apologized” to fantasy football owners for splitting the wealth between the three backs.

Don’t ask Hines about his fantasy production though. He called into The Dan Dakich Show on Tuesday and told DD he gets DMs all the time about his fantasy points.

“I respect it but trust me to all the fantasy owners out there you don’t have to DM me and stuff,” Hines said jokingly. “I want to get 20 points every week for you guys but please don’t heckle me about it. I wish I could have two touchdowns every week but shoot even the best of the best don’t do that.”

In all seriousness, Hines has been a huge part of the Indianapolis attack.

His breakout game against the Detroit Lions that featured two touchdowns and two end zone back flips showed what he can really do. Although there may be weeks where one of the three running backs gets a majority of the carries, Hines has the right kind of attitude.

“You can’t worry about how many times you’re going to touch the ball and that’s the attitude that will keep me in the NFL,” Hines added. “You have to make the most of your opportunity. I’ve always felt that I have a lot of dog in me. It doesn’t matter the size of the dog, it’s the fight. All my life I’ve been small so you have to find ways to break tackles.”

This guy gets it. And guys like Hines are the types of players that not only help you win games, but also Super Bowls.
