An afternoon that features the NFL and Sunday at The Masters? Yes please.

Augusta National Golf Club will finally get its moment to shine in 2020 as Tiger Woods defends his Green Jacket for the first time since 2006 this weekend. We’re set to go tomorrow morning with the first tee time belonging to Lucas Glover, Corey Conners, and C.T. Pan at 7:00 AM.

Woods will tee off at 7:55 AM with Shane Lowry and Andy Ogletree. To help get us ready for an elite weekend of sports, Ryan Burr jumped on The Dan Dakich Show Wednesday. Burr shared his thoughts with DD on who may make a run, and who will struggle. The two did not agree on Woods, who is +4500 to win the tournament.

“This is a completely different Tiger Woods that we’re getting this week,” Burr said. “He came in last year after winning the Tour Championship in 2018 and was the best player for the United States at the Ryder Cup. Then it moved into him being healthy at The Masters and winning. I like him to make the cut because he knows the course, but to win it’s a zero-percent chance.”

So if not Tiger, then who? Other popular choices include Major champs Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, and Dustin Johnson. The powerful driver DeChambeau recently did an interview with ESPN saying that he hopes he won’t need anything more than an 8-iron on the longer back-nine holes for his second shot.

“This tournament will be won by Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, Johnson, DeChambeau, Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, Patrick Reed or Tony Finau,” Burr explained. “I promise you that one of those names wins the Green Jacket.”

With COVID-19 still a major factor, no fans will be roaming the green grass of Augusta. But the 84th Masters will carry on, which is something every sports fan can certainly look forward to.
