With Covid-19 cases on the rise across the country, college basketball once again finds itself being impacted.
Postponements, cancelations and, worst of all, forfeits are all top stories on a daily basis.
Prior to the start of the college basketball season, many conferences instituted forfeiture rules center around Covid-19 protocols. The pandemic was at a much tamer level when these were implemented and now some conferences are modifying on the fly.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
We have modified our 2021-22 COVID-19 rescheduling policy. The decision was unanimously supported by our ADs as a result of the current rise in COVID cases and its impact on winter sport programs.

The Big 12 and Big West also modified their Covid-19 protocol rules on forfeits and more are expected to follow.

Sources also tell CBS Sports that the Big Ten is anticipating revoking its forfeit rule.
