We are just 10 days away from the first pre-season game for the Indianapolis Colts and 39 days from week one. The biggest buzz around training camp besides Parris Campbell, has been the frequency of Nyheim Hines lining up as a wide receiver.

Hines has had two really good seasons in a Colts uniform and two sub-par seasons. As a rookie in 2018 (with Andrew Luck) Hines caught 63 passes, returned two punts for touchdowns, and displayed a skillset teams covet. Hines’ 2019 and 2021 seasons are eerily similar. 44 catches in 2019 and 40 catches last season. In his lone season with Philip Rivers, Hines had 63 catches, 4 receiving touchdowns, and 3 rushing touchdowns.

On Wednesday’s edition of the Dan Dakich Show with Jimmy Cook filling in for Dan, the fifth-year running back for the Colts joined the show after training camp and spoke on his expectations for himself and more:

  • how he and Jonathan Taylor play off of one another
  • how he approaches rookies to help them through the pressure of being in the NFL
  • the similarity between Matt Ryan and Philip Rivers
  • will he teach Yannick Ngakoue dance moves

Listen to Jimmy’s conversation with Nyheim Hines below and make sure to listen/watch the Dan Dakich Show, weekdays 12-3pm eastern, on The Fan.
