The 2021 NFL Draft is quickly approaching and Roger Goodell will be getting booed in person again very soon.

In the first round, the Indianapolis Colts seem to be a guarantee lock to select either a left tackle or pass rusher at #21. But eventually, they’ll need to look at another receiving weapon for Carson Wentz.

Could that weapon be former Purdue Boilermakers speedster Rondale Moore?

Moore is ranked by Pro Football Focus as the eighth best wide receiver in this year’s draft.

The talented trio of LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase, Alabama’s Heisman Trophy winner Devonta Smith, and fellow Bama wide-out Jaylen Waddle rank 1, 2, and 3 respectively.

By the way it looks, Moore might turn out to be a steal depending on where he goes; That also depends on if he can stay healthy.

The New Albany native played in only seven combined games between 2019 and 2020.

Even with that concern, he projects to be taken relatively quick. Senior Bowl Executive Director and NFL Draft analyst Jim Nagy joined The Fan Morning Show on Tuesday to break down Moore’s tape.

“He is probably going to go somewhere in the second round,” Nagy said. “A really explosive player and fun to watch on tape. He’s thick, compact and put together. Rondale and Elijah Moore from Ole Miss get compared a lot; But Rondale is a lot better on contact. That shows up on tape.”

If Moore can get past the injury history and settle into a spot that he’s comfortable with, those are some dangerous hands to have available for any QB.

The NFL is also going back to a normal off-season schedule. That only helps the former Boilermaker.

The stage is set. Now it’s time to see how teams perform on the clock in Cleveland.
