Because of the Ohio State Men’s Basketball win over Notre Dame on Monday, Big Joe Staysniak was feeling confident on Monday when he called into The Fan Morning Show.

Big Joe had the Buckeyes fight song playing immediately when he came on, as he had to give long time Irish fan Kevin Bowen a hard time. But the hoops win for Ohio State won’t be as sweet for Joe and Buckeye nation if they can’t find a way to get into the College Football Playoff.

With the cancellation of their upcoming game versus Michigan, the Buckeyes may not end up playing enough games to qualify for the postseason. This means the #12 Indiana Hoosiers may be making the trip to Lucas Oil Stadium.

But Staysniak told KB and Jeff Rickard that the Big Ten has not organized the process correctly.

“They don’t know what in the hell they’re doing,” Big Joe said. “They’ve embarrassed the conference that has been the leader for decades. It was one change of the commissioner and since then it’s been an embarrassment. Kevin Warren needs to stand up and say these are our rules and we abide by our rules.”

But how do they set up the Big Ten Championship? According to Big Joe, the conference should give both Indiana and Ohio State an opportunity in separate games.

“You should put Indiana in the Big Ten Championship because they have absolutely earned it,” Big Joe added. “Then as a conference, they should scramble to set up a game where Ohio State plays Iowa. Put it opposite from Indiana and Northwestern, then you go from there. Just because Ohio State doesn’t get into the Big Ten Championship Game, it doesn’t mean they can’t get into the College Football Playoff.”

No matter what the final decision is, one fan base is going to be really happy and the other is going to be livid.

The Big Ten has a massive choice to make. And no matter what happens, it’s going to be remembered for a long time in the history of College Football.
