Head Coach of Ball State baseball Rich Maloney joins The Fan Morning Show with Jeff and Big Joe. Rick talks with the fellas of his emotions of losing one of his best players to the First Round of the MLB draft.
On losing a top notch player :
” When you realize you have a high end talent like that, (Drey Jameson) and in our program we recuruit kids, we understand, That to make it to some of our goals which is to make it to the National stage, is to have players of that kind of that ability.”
Emotions of having a player drafted :
” Whenever your player gets picked in the first round the adrenaline kick that you fill for your player and for his family and for our program, it’s just a natural high that is beautiful. We are so thankful for Drey and his oppurtunity.”
