Put Hard Knocks director Steve Trout among the many that was completely shocked by the Colts utter collapse against the Jacksonville Jaguars and saw their season come to an abrupt end.
Steve has joined Kevin & Query throughout the entire run of the in-season series and was definitely gearing up for at least an extra episode or two. Unfortunately, on Thursday’s show it was his last appearance to recap the unexpected season finale. He dove into what it was like to capture the after effects of the loss, if they were privy to the meeting between Jim Irsay, Chris Ballard and Frank Reich, the content that will now see the cutting room floor due to the end of the season and the plans moving forward with the series.

He said the toughest part of the episode was seeing players and coaches watching reality set in that the final minutes of their season were occurring.
“You saw it at the end of the 4th quarter with guys sitting alone on the bench, the power of imagery. The brief moments with Jim Irsay in the locker room were very telling.” – Steve Trout
