INDIANAPOLIS – We know the Colts have had some very notable injuries in 2019, but they still had more than a third of their 53-man roster play in every single game this season.

The Colts had 19 position players suit up and play in every game.

Who were the ironmen Colts in 2019?

LB-Matthew Adams: Adams hasn’t missed a game for the Colts since being drafted in the 7th round of the 2018 Draft. But the defensive role for Adams really dwindled in 2019. He played just 29 defensive snaps in the final 12 games of the year.

TE-Mo Alie-Cox: Despite breaking his thumb in Week 12 against the Jaguars, Alie-Cox still played in all 16 games. When Eric Ebron headed to Houston for the close to the season, Alie-Cox slid into the No. 2 tight end role. He played more than 30 percent of the offensive snaps in 2019, but caught just 8 balls for 93 yards.

DE-Ben Banogu: No starts for the 2nd round pick from TCU in his rookie season, but he played around 20-30 percent of the defensive snaps in 2019 as a rotational defensive end. Banogu finished his rookie season with 2.5 sacks and 3 tackles for loss.

LT-Anthony Castonzo: After the rare miss of 5 games last season, Castonzo didn’t miss a single snap in 2019. He’s now played all 16 games in 6 of his 9 NFL seasons. That’s important for the free agent, who is still mulling retirement.

TE-Jack Doyle: Similar to Castonzo, Doyle’s 2018 season was a rare one filled with injuries. He was back in 2019 and played the most snaps of any skill player, besides Zach Pascal.

LB-Zaire Franklin: Like his fellow 2018 7th round pick Matthew Adams, Franklin hasn’t missed a game in two NFL season. His role though is strictly on special teams. Franklin didn’t play one defensive snap in 2019.

RB-Nyheim Hines: Hines has suited up for all 34 games in his NFL career. He finished this season with 52 carries and 44 catches, while playing 31 percent of the offensive snaps.

DT-Margus Hunt: The 31-year-old has missed just 1 game since joining the Colts in 2017. Hunt lost his starting job after Week Three, but still played 43 percent of the defensive snaps in 2019.

RG-Mark Glowinski: Fresh off a new three-year contract extension last offseason, Glowinski started every game at right guard this season. He was part of an offensive line that started every single game together in 2019.

DE-Justin Houston: For the first time since 2014, Houston played in all 16 games. The Colts used Houston in 65 percent of their defensive snaps, which was right around the number they were planning on after signing him last March.

C-Ryan Kelly: This was a really important season for Kelly to stay healthy. He did that by playing in all 16 games for the first time since his 2016 rookie season. Kelly is on the verge of a contract extension. He’s currently signed through the 2020 season.

DE-Al-Quadin Muhammad: One of the more unheralded, yet reliable, Colts, Muhammad continues to be a solid find by Chris Ballard and the scouting department. A 2017 undrafted free agent of the Saints, the Colts claimed Muhammad just before the start of the 2018 season and he’s been a needed defensive end presence with some injuries to various guys at that position. Muhammad started 4 games and played 46.6 percent of the defensive snaps in 2019.

LG-Quenton Nelson: We saw Nelson earn a second All-Pro year, even though he did miss some time due to injury against Carolina in Week 16. Nelson appearaed on the injury report a couple of times in 2019, but has started every single game in his NFL career.

S-George Odum: In his second NFL season, Odum carved out a pretty consistent role in the defensive sub packages. Odum, an undrafted free agent in 2018, played 26 percent of the defensive snaps in 2019.

LB-Bobby Okereke: The third-round pick from Stanford started 8 games for the Colts in 2019, as he proved to be too good to keep as a reserve. Okereke played some SAM linebacker in the second half of the season, playing 45 percent of the defensive snaps.

WR-Zach Pascal: You could have won a lot of money back in the offseason predicting this guy playing the most snaps of any skill player in 2019. Pascal started 13 games for the Colts and his durability was so needed, as easily the only wideout to play every game this season.

RT-Braden Smith: The second-round pick from 2018 continues to hold down the starting right tackle spot. Smith missed just one offensive snap in 2019.

DT-Grover Stewart: It was Stewart who took Margus Hunt’s starting spot back in late September. Stewart started the final 13 games of the season after earning just 1 start in his first two NFL seasons. Given Stewart’s style at 330 pounds, his health was key for a defensive tackle group searching for answers this past season.

LB-Anthony Walker: For the first time in his three NFL seasons, Walker played all 16 games. He was the starter for every game, playing the third most defensive snaps (78.4 percent).
