JMV’s alma mater Indiana State wins their first MVC Championship since 1995.  Head Coach Mitch Hannahs joins the show to talk about his excitement for the success that came this season.  They will now be headed to Nashville to play in Regional Finals.

Did you believe before the season started that they had the ability to be this successful?

“We did, and we scheduled that mindset that we would schedule a lot of teams in the region here that we felt like would be in the at-large conversation.  If we took care of business on the field we felt we would be in that conversation piece at the end of the season.”

How do you feel as you prepare to play McNeese State?

“We’ve done a little homework.  They’re comparible to a team in our league by how they play, Southern Illinois.  They run a lot, they’re very athletic.  They’re a little better on the mound than Southern obviously and a little better in terms of their offense and in terms of power but very comparible to Southern Illinois.”

Indiana State moves on to Nashville next in the Regional Finals and JMV will be sure to keep you updated as they go further.
