Margus Hunt is an Estonian-born NFL Player and he has been a defensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts since 2017.  He joins the show to talk to JMV about the Colts’ defense under Matt Eberflus and his excitement and ambitions for the upcoming season for this defense.  He has been in the league since 2013, spending his first three years with the Bengals.

What does Matt Eberflus want out of you during games?

“He just wants me to fast and physical, keep my pads down most importantly.  They tend to pop up every now and then.  That’s what I focus on every practice.  Stay in low-pad level and just getting off the ball.”

When in your career did you decide that the NFL could be in your future?

“I think it was right before heading into my junior year of football.  I just got back from Europe where I finished a track season and came in for football training camp and I had to sit down and say to myself that there was two years left of college football and I really needed to make it count.  That’s kind of where it really all started for me and when it started to click.  Put extra work into it.”
