The Indianapolis Colts not selecting a left tackle in the 2021 NFL Draft was… perplexing.

But they may have their answer for Carson Wentz’s blindside protector fall right into their laps. And yes, it is Mac Jones to the New England Patriots level.

The Chicago Bears announced today that they are releasing left tackle Charles Leno. That’s after Ryan Pace and company selected Oklahoma State’s Teven Jenkins in the second round.

So, could Leno head south for the Colts’ own version of The Tonight Show?

He wouldn’t be coming into a completely random situation either. Leno played his college ball with the Boise State Broncos from 2009-2013. You know who else was also in the gem state at that time?

Colts offensive line coach Chris Strausser.

Maybe Indianapolis had some insight that Chicago would make this decision. After all, Pace and Chris Ballard know each other well.

But if this particular move is made, it would make some more sense into not picking a tackle in the draft and leaving us still asking these questions.
