With the matchups set, Classes 2A, 4A, and 6A will play on Friday. While 1A, 3A, and 5A will duel it out on Saturday. The games are as follows:

1ASouth Adams (13-0) vs Covenant Christian (14-0)

Wednesday on The Ride with JMV, Bob Lovell joined the program to preview the championship games and  give his thoughts on who may have an advantage. Coach Lovell also expressed his happiness that there were no major issues with the Coronavirus this season and everyone followed the regulations to make for a safe playing environment.

“It’s unbelievable that 95 percent of IHSAA Football games have been scheduled and played during 2020,” Lovell said. “I don’t think anyone would have thought that would be possible in early August. To my knowledge all the teams are healthy and ready to go so we’ll get started on Friday morning at 11 AM with Fort Wayne Luers against Western Boone.”

You can catch all of the radio broadcasts throughout the two days on 107.5 The Fan or 93.1 WIBC. For broadcast information, visit 1075TheFan.com.

Coach Lovell pointed out the talent level is off the charts for teams like Center Grove and Cathedral trying to secure titles.

“Center Grove and Cathedral have been ranked number one all year long and they have run the table,” Lovell added. “Cathedral’s only loss was a one possession game to Center Grove. The issue though is that Westfield matches up with the Trojans and they’re really good. Westfield’s only loss is to Cathedral. The Zionsville story is also fantastic and they’re coming in with a heck of a run.”

It’s a busy stretch at Lucas Oil with Friday and Saturday booked, then the Colts playing the Titans on Sunday.

Let’s have a weekend Indy. Happy Thanksgiving!
