Mike Woodson is not wasting any time down in Bloomington.

Last week on 93.5 and 107.5 The Fan, Woodson told Dan Dakich that he was “going to bring everything back together at IU“. So far, so good.

Three major pieces of positive news happened today for Woodson.

1) Dane Fife is returning to his alma mater to become an assistant coach on Woodson’s staff.

2) Khristian Lander is returning to play for the Hoosiers.

3) So is Jordan Geronimo.

Two weeks ago when Woodson was hired, six guys were in the transfer portal, Trayce Jackson-Davis was debating on whether he would bolt out of town, and there was no real momentum with the program.

Two weeks later, times have already changed.

And JMV loves it; Especially the Fife news.

“I wanted him to be part of the equation,” JMV said on Monday afternoon. “From what I was told, they always wanted him too. So I think it’s great. I love Fife and Michael Lewis too, and I really wish they could be on the same staff.”

Lewis just got done grinding it out with the UCLA Bruins on their Final Four run. And if it wasn’t for the stone cold genes of Jalen Suggs, they’d be in the National Championship.

Woodson is already doing his part in revitalizing things at Indiana.

With all of this news breaking on the same Monday, you just get the sense that he’s far from done.
