Knowing what you do now, would a Tom Brady-led Indianapolis Colts team have been the Super Bowl Champs in 2021?
Brady took an absolutely dead organization and turned them from losers to legends in about five months. No training camp, no preseason, no time to settle in. Brady did what Brady does.
Just win baby.
Now that begs the question, would you have wanted him at Lucas Oil Stadium? And would he even have wanted to come here?
That’s probably a negative on the latter. JMV came out firing on Monday afternoon and told his listeners on The Ride with JMV that it was never going to happen.
“If you thought that dude wanted to play here you would absolutely select him over anyone else,” JMV said. “It wasn’t going to happen. Maybe it would have if Brady didn’t have other options, he clearly did. I would certainly take Mike Evans and Chris Godwin over the Colts weapons. You think a guy would come here with an organization that got him punished?”
It just stings knowing that this year’s Colts team got to 11 wins and a couple bounces away from knocking the Buffalo Bills out of the postseason. If a non-movable Philip Rivers could do that…
Brady in Indy also means the Blue and White wouldn’t be in this quarterback disaster right now. There would be no need for Andrew Luck rumors either.
But at the end of the day, it can only be thought of as a day dream.
“Of course Jim Irsay said they looked at him,” JMV said “He wasn’t. We dive into the hypotheticals that normally wouldn’t matter right now but they do. I’ll give you the truth and the answers as always. I’m not one that is worried about the past or deflategate. That was laughable. And what it does is create really stupid ideas in that’s the karma that has led us on one step forward and two steps back forever.”
So what do you say Colts nation, would you have been on board with Team TB12?
