Nyheim Hines was a trending topic on Twitter during Sunday’s Indianapolis Colts 41-21 win over the Detroit Lions.

But he wasn’t trending just because he caught two touchdown passes from fellow North Carolina State alum Philip Rivers. It was because of what he subsequently did in the end zone. On both touchdown celebrations, Hines showed off his athletic ability in a serious way.

Flawless execution (on the touchdowns too).

In his appearance on The Ride with JMV Wednesday, Hines discussed the flips and if Frank Reich and Chris Ballard approve of them.

“I don’t want to test too much of my graces with Frank and Chris,” Hines jokingly told JMV. “They haven’t said too much about it but maybe I’ll do it once every blue moon. It’s like dealing with your parents. Sometimes you can do something but you don’t need to do it 2 or 3 times.”

Hines also attracted the attention of Olympic gymnastics champion Simone Biles on Twitter.

The Hines outbreak against the Lions was also part of a big day for the running back core. Jordan Wilkins took 20 carries for 89 yards with a touchdown. Jonathan Taylor added 22 rush yards of his own.
