Tonight on The Talk of Gasoline Alley with Donald Davidson, he profiles IndyCar drivers Vel Miletich and Mel Kenyon. Between those two profiles, a caller asks Donald how many races he has been to and which one is his favorite. That question sparked a conversation between Kevin Lee and IMS Museum’s Curator for Media and Historic Archives in Mike Thomsen sharing their favorite races that they have been to and what race they wish they could have attended. Thomsen also shares some audio from the IMS archives with a Sid Collins conversation with Tony Hulman from 1956. In the closing segments of tonight’s show, Donald shares the history of The Talk of Gasoline Alley following a caller requesting for the history of the show.
