Tonight on Trackside with Curt Cavin and Kevin Lee, its Indy Car Race Week for the season opener at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL.  They give their season predictions and who they think will win the 2021 Indy Car Series Championship and who we may see in Victory Lane in 2021.  Kevin and Curt recap the Open test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and who will be the ones to watch and who could be in danger of qualifying next Month leading into the Indianapolis 500. Kevin mentioned that IMS President Doug Boles and Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb that their will be fans at the Indianapolis 500, it will be a couple of weeks before how many.  He believes fans will be in attendance for Practice and Qualifying and if their will be any concerts or not this year. Kevin and Curt talk about the season opening race at Barber and who they think may take the first checkered flags of the 2021 season. Six time and Defending Indy Car Champion Scott Dixon and 13 time Champion car owner Chip Ganassi join the show to talk about the upcoming season and what it’ll be like to go after record tying number 7 and also look back at the Championship season in 2020.  Scott talks about the type of racing we may see in 2021 and if it will be any easier to pass on track. Team Penske driver Scott McLaughlin joins the show to talk about his expectations and what his nerves are like for his rookie season in Indy Car starting this weekend. He also recaps his test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and what he anticipates when they return for the Month of May and the Indianapolis 500. AJ Foyt driver Charlie Kimball joins the show and talks about being in the broadcast booth for the Indy Car test, what it is like to explain the sport to the viewers who are watching and also getting ready to broadcast the Indy Lights broadcasts this season as well.
