Indianapolis – After the NFL Draft, most teams have a pretty good idea of what their roster will look like for the upcoming season. The summer is where you begin to fill holes with veteran players, usually past their prime to add depth, leadership, or the hope that they will be able to turn back the clock one last time.

For the 2022 Colts most of the offseason work has been done. Out goes Carson Wentz, Jack Doyle, Eric Fisher, Rock Ya-Sin, and Xavier Rhodes. In comes Matt Ryan, Yannick Ngakoue, Alec Pierce, Jelani Woods, Bernhard Raimann, Nick Cross, and Stephon Gilmore.

To put the finishing touches on the Colts roster for next season, 107.5 The Fan afternoon host JMV was joined by The Athletics’ Zak Keefer. JMV made 4 bold (sourced) predictions that he wants to look back on during training camp to see how accurate he was.

1. TY Hilton will not re-sign with the Colts

Soak it in Colts fans, this may be the last TY Hilton bow in Lucas Oil Stadium

JMV predicts that TY will play another season in the NFL, it just won’t be back with the horseshoe.

2. Julio Jones will reunite with Matt Ryan and join the Colts

Out goes TY, in comes Julio? Chris Ballard loves tall receivers and Jones has been the best tall receiver in the NFL over the last decade.

3. Nick Foles will be the Colts backup QB

The Bears released Nick Foles and current backup Sam Ehlinger is unproven in the NFL. Foles and Frank Reich reunite to provide depth behind Matt Ryan.

4. 50/50 that Rodrigo “Hot Rod” Blankenship is the Colts kicker

Michael Badgley stepped in for Blankenship while he was out with an injury the 2nd half of the 2021 season. The kicker job will be a competition until the start of the season.

*After responses saying being 50/50 on whether or not Hot Rod will be the kicker is not a prediction, JMV now says Rodrigo WILL NOT be the Colts kicker in 2022!*
