What to Expect From New Colts Kickers

Chris Ballard finally ripped the bandaid off on Tuesday as the Colts released kicker Rodrigo Blankenship.

It didn’t take long for Indy to have a couple of new legs battling it out for the right to kick in Jacksonville on Sunday.

So who are the Colts new kickers? Chase McLaughlin should ring a bell for fans. McLaughlin kicked in 4 games for the Colts in 2019 going 5/6 including 2/2 from 50+, an issue with Rodrigo Blankenship.

Havrisik is a rookie who spent 5 years at Arizona. In his Senior and 5th year for the Wildcats, he went 15/21 on FGs but has a cannon for a leg.

What should the Colts expect from their 2nd go around of a kicker battle in 2022? JMV was joined by ESPN Colts Writer Stephen Holder to discuss why a change at kicker was needed and the philosophy change in bringing in two kickers that are a little less accurate, but can consistently knock in long field goals.
