Purdue football announced on Tuesday the date for it’s season opener has changed from Saturday, August 31 to Friday, August 30 at Nevada.

I have a feeling this could be an ESPN broadcast to start the season.
Jeff Brohm staying at Purdue, Rondale Moore’s historic freshman season, and a top-25 recruiting class provide plenty of storylines, star power, and interest for a random national broadcast to fill the space with football on that Friday night.
The Boilers started 2018 on national TV against Northwestern on a Thursday night.
Kickoff time and the official broadcast info will be released at a later date.
