INDIANAPOLIS – One week ahead of the 2018 NBA Draft, the Pacers are bringing in college basketball’s best player form last season.

Jalen Brunson will have an individual workout with the Pacers on Thursday. The workout will take place at the team’s facility across the street from Bankers Life Fieldhouse

It will be the first official individual workout the Pacers have had this draft cycle. They’ve had 4 group workouts ahead of next Thursday’s NBA Draft.

Brunson, a junior leaving Villanova early, was a two-time national champion, while also being named the National College Player of the Year this past season. Brunson averaged 18.9 points and 4.6 assists per game for the Wildcats in 2017-18.

Projecting Brunson into the NBA has him likely to go right around the Pacers’ selection (pick No. 23) in Round One.

The 6-3 Brunson is a likely point guard at the next level, with the Pacers searching for a long-term answer at that spot. Both Darren Collison and Cory Joseph are under contract for next season.

The Pacers currently have the No. 23 and No. 50 picks in this year’s draft, which will take place on Thursday, June 21 in Brooklyn.

Even though the Pacers have a pick in each round, do not rule out a trade for them. The Pacers are one of the few teams heading into the draft with some cap space available.
