INDIANAPOLIS-The Indianapolis Indians open their 120th regular season Tuesday, April 5 at Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis.

You can enjoy a pregame Bike to the Ballpark from Sun King’s downtown location to Victory Field.

“For opening night, it’s also our 60-degree weather guarantee. We never know what that’s going to hold with early spring weather, but that always grabs people’s attention. If it’s not 60 degrees, then you get a ticket for another game in April,” said Randy Lewandowski, president, and general manager of the Indianapolis Indians, in an interview with Inside Indiana Business.

Lewandowski says they are striving to continue to be creative.

“All of our daily deals are back, whether it’s our Tuesday dollar menu where we sell concession items for $1, our Friday fireworks are always popular, our signature Saturdays are where we bring out Marvel superheroes and other characters throughout the year, we want to bring a lot of the same great things we’ve done in the past,” said Lewandowski.

During the pandemic, the Elements Financial Club at Victory Field, was opened on a restricted basis. Lewandowski says that will be open to full capacity, as will everything else. The Club features a 22-ft diameter full-service bar in the shape of a home plate, 12 HDTVs including a four-screen video wall, an integrated sound system, and a mix of soft seating, table seating, and bar seating both indoors and outdoors.

“I’m just happy that we’ll be fully back to normal this year. We are full speed ahead and looking forward to it,” said Lewandowski.

The team will also have a new manager in Miguel Perez.

“Perez played for us a couple of times for us. He’s a catcher. He’s bringing a lot of talented players with him,” said Lewandowski.

The Indians play the Omaha Storm Chasers Tuesday night at 7:05 pm. Doors open to Victory Field at 6:05 pm.
