The Colts offense continues to get outperformed by the defense at training camp. There are a lot of new and young faces for Matt Ryan to get acquainted with so it shouldn’t be too big of a surprise that the defense is a bit ahead thus far. But as we get close to the preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills there are some issues that are starting to become a bit more glaring. The number of drops that receivers and tight ends have had to this point haven’t leveled off and for a young group with a veteran quarterback, that is not the ideal situation you want to be seeing halfway through training camp.
Even Frank Reich is taking notice and has been giving “conditioning drills” after practice.
Practice 9 complete. Whole team running post-practice.
Drops continued with a half dozen.
3 straight sessions in full pads. One more practice tomorrow before Saturday’s preseason opener in Buffalo.
