The Romeo Langford era is underway in Bloomington after the Hoosiers handled University of Southern Indiana 96-62 in an exhibition contest on Thursday night.

Langford finished with 13 points including a highlight reel dunk within his first five minutes in a Hoosier uniform.

But that still wasn't good enough for Archie Miller.

"Romeo has to get better defensively," he told iuhoosiers.com. "He's very gifted in the passing lanes. He can get his hands on a lot of balls."

Fellow freshmen Rob Phinisee also dropped 13 points in 28 minutes in his first action at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

The Hoosiers get the regular season started this upcoming Tuesday against Chicago State.
