Matt Painter’s crew rolled to it’s eighth win in nine games on Sunday over number 6 Michigan State at Mackey Arena. It was Michigan State’s first Big Ten loss of the season.

The Boilers dominated the first 20, leading 37-19 at the half. But Cassius Winston and the Spartans hit their second half stride, and cut the deficit to as few as four points before Ryan Cline hit another big three, and Nojel Eastern, a 50{ecc5326ef4d1ddb251ed873dd03eab33c1fe7660382f076b5d9818e6386e4b27} free throw shooter, cashed in on six straight free throws down the stretch late.

With the win, Purdue moves into 3rd place in the Big Ten, and now holds a 14-6 record overall. Up next, Matt Painter’s squad will head to Happy Valley to take on Penn State. The Nittany Lions are the only remaining Big Ten team without a conference win.

Coach Painter will join The Dan Dakich Show coming up today at 1 p.m.
