Stephen Holder of The Athletic joins Jeff and Big Joe on the Fan Morning Show to revisit the Colts’ overtime loss in Los Angeles this weekend. Overreaction Monday is over, let’s look ahead to what we learned about starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
“I learned that he was more crisp this time around. I’m not saying I didn’t expect him to do well, I expected him to do well. I trusted Frank Reich to put him in good situations and I trusted Jacoby’s maturity. But you needed to see it. It was a confirmation more than anything else.”
A gutsy call by Frank Reich on a two-point conversion pushed the game into OT.
“I was in the pressbox with Zak Keefer and Bob Kravitz and we’re looking around saying “Are we running it? Do you run it?” If it was me I’d give the ball to Marlon Mack. But what if you end up a foot short? Do you beat yourself up over it? Probably. You have to be supremely confident to do that.”
