INDIANAPOLIS–The Gonzaga Bulldogs and Baylor Bears have been ranked number one and two for most of the season. Tonight, the unbeaten Bulldogs will meet the Bears in the NCAA Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Gonzaga advanced with a 93-90 overtime win over UCLA in the semis, while Baylor cruised to a 78-59 victory over Houston.
The Bears are coached by Butler graduate and former Valparaiso coach Scott Drew. Gonzaga is trying to be the first undefeated D1 men’s national champion since Bob Knight’s Indiana University team went 32-0 in 1976.
The national championship begins at 9:20 pm EST on CBS.
