INDIANAPOLIS – The Colts made 9 selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, with a little bit of defensive flavor to end things.
With the 213th overall pick the Colts took Michigan linebacker Jordan Glasgow in Round Six.

1. Who Is Glasgow?
You want to talk about a family of brothers who have earned their spots in the NFL. The Glasgow boys, Ryan, Graham and Jordan were all walk-ons at the University of Michigan and now all play in the NFL. As the youngest, Jordan is also the only non-linemen of the trio. At 6-0 and 221 pounds, the youngest Glasgow will get a look at linebacker with the Colts, and certainly is going to be a special teams option. Glasgow was mainly a special teams player in his first 3 years at Michigan, before he became a full-time starter at the WILL linebacker position in 2019. He had 89 tackles (7 for loss) and 5 sacks last season. Undersized and lacking in the eye-popping testing numbers led to Glasgow being taken late in Round Six.
2. Special Teams Demon
When is the last time the Colts had a special teams ace? I guess Chris Milton, and probably Sergio Brown before that. Well, Glasgow will be trying to toss his name into that group. Glasgow knows he was drafted for his ability to play on special teams. Special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone was a special teams demon in the NFL, so you know he’ll love seeing Glasgow fly around and try to be a core special teamer. Glasgow prides himself on being a high-motor guy, which is a pre-requisite for anyone playing consistently on 4th down.
3. Deep, Deep Linebacker Room
Is a special teams role enough for Glasgow to make the Colts in 2020? That’s pretty much how Zaire Franklin has kept his 53-man roster spot since being drafted in the 7th round in 2018. This marks the 9th straight year the Colts have drafted a linebacker, with Chris Ballard totally revamping that room. Earning playing time at linebacker is extremely unlikely for Glasgow, not with the likes of Darius Leonard, Anthony Walker, Bobby Okereke and E.J. Speed on the roster. Still, the Colts used Franklin and Matthew Adams mainly as special teams guys last season. Could the Colts flip one of those guys for Glasgow in 2020?
