INDIANAPOLIS – We are a month and a half away from NFL free agency beginning.

Over the next few weeks, you will start to see some teams take care of unrestricted free agents that they want to bring back.

For the Colts, they have 12 unrestricted free agents, with not a lot of guarantees on who to definitely bring back.

Josh Andrews Free Agent Watch

Similar to Joe Haeg, the Colts didn’t really need Josh Andrews in 2019.

Even though Andrews was the top reserve offensive linemen this past year, he played just 64 total snaps (49 of them subbing for Ryan Kelly against Pittsburgh).

Since joining the Colts in 2019, Andrews has played 9 games for the Colts, but has yet to be needed in the starting lineup.

Andrews, 28, beat out Evan Boehm in camp for the main backup reserve duty in the interior of the offensive line.

Just because the Colts didn’t have to rely on a 6th or 7th linemen in 2019, that still won’t diminish the team’s desire to make sure they have the necessary competition up front this offseason. Chris Ballard has mentioned that as an important thing to solidify this offseason.

Again, the free agency outlooks for Haeg and Andrews have many comparable aspects.

To the Colts, Andrews has value, but the team does have Javon Patterson (7th round pick in 2019) as an interior option. Patterson tore his ACL in spring last year.

If Andrews walks, the Colts will need to find some veteran interior depth to compete this offseason.

Andrews has never started a game in 6 NFL seasons, playing in 25 games.
